Outstanding masonry projects
featuring brick, block and stone will be recognized
for design, workmanship and creativity.
The Arizona Masonry Council has decided to postpone the 2020 Excellence Awards Banquet. We want to err on the side of caution to protect our members and our special guests.
We have already begun the planning for a huge double celebration on September 24, 2021. We will separately, equally recognize the 2020 winning projects and the 2021 winning projects.
The 2021 process will begin in March with the Call For Entries. The jury will deliberate in July. The awards will be presented in September at the Excellence Banquet.
A distinguished panel of out-of-state jurists will judge the entries. The Arizona Masonry Council recognizes the professionalism and expertise of the individual jurors, encourages and supports the jury’s discretion in its choice of projects. The decisions of the jury will determine the type of awards which may include Honor, Merit and Citation awards within categories of Residential and Non-Residential. A submittal entry does not guarantee an award regardless of the number of entries received per category.
Other Awards will include:
- Craftsmanship Award - Residential and Non-Residential: All projects submitted will be considered for the Craftsmanship Award. These awards will be selected by a panel of retired masonry contractors.
- Gold Trowel Award – Residential and Non-Residential: An outstanding project for each category as selected by this year’s jury.
Awards will be presented to:
The architectural firm, structural engineering firm, general contractor, major masonry supplier(s), masonry contractor(s), and the owner of the project for each winning project.
